Emmett graduated Cum Laude from the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business with a degree in Finance and a concentration in Personal Financial Planning. His coursework included extensive study of income taxation, retirement planning, and regulatory compliance — providing a solid technical foundation for tax preparation work.

In December 2025, Emmett obtained his Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) from the IRS, authorizing him to prepare and electronically file federal tax returns.

Emmett's experience includes consulting for financial advisors nationwide and working directly with individual clients across diverse financial situations. At SITS, he focuses exclusively on straightforward individual tax returns — helping W-2 earners, freelancers, and people with standard deductions get their taxes done accurately and affordably.

Outside of work, Emmett enjoys hiking and camping in the Colorado mountains, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new interests.
